The qualities of Grace lead to the enjoyment of Grace. This Grace, this 'God,' is as available to the non-religious as to the religious. This Grace works at differing levels of subtlety, growing in power to affect the body positively, with its mental capacities. Likewise, the presence of one embodying the qualities becomes more effusive, spreading the perfume of the qualities. Finally, one emanates the qualities through silent presence, or pure being-with, without any conscious intent to speak about the experience or to share the effulgence. With time, drawn more into intimacy with Life, one becomes the spontaneous welcoming of Life to the qualities of Life. Those prepared to 'see' this welcome, will. The welcome will be hidden to those not prepared to 'see.' One ever-more becomes both in the world, and not of the world, living at the nexus of the Unseen and Seen. In religious language, one becomes a sacrament of Grace.
the variegated qualities of one Spirit ~ being Presence ~
express Spirit, like branches from a single stock
the early Christians esteemed these Qualities as the Fruit of the Spirit
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentle, temperance
these expressions of Grace, universalizing Presence,
are a single gracefulness ~ 'Fruit' being singular ~
long-present before the birth of Christianity ~ any religion ~
these ever-born forms were Timeless creations into time
Spirit being a way of speaking of evasive, pervasive Mystery
arising permanently from the abyss of Creation
this living abyss ~ the Void ~ is
the seat of Creation in potential
the primordial "Let there be"
continues as silent emanation from the Silence ~
Source into Word, Word into word
so, the same Potency that creates a tree
creates the Qualities of Spirit
